Welcome To Our Personal Zoo
After this you'll understand why.
Seriously, though, our pets are our kids. It's just that people who know us always ask how the zoo is, since we have so many to mention.
Let's get started with the tour, shall we.
Our Newest Members

This is Pele. She's been a member of our family for 2 years now (but this is the first real opportunity I had to add her, sorry). She is a funny little ferret. She does this little "war dance" and "war cry", that is the cutest thing. I actually got a little video of it, but it didn't come out too good. I'll keep trying and try to put it on here or on MySpace page.

This is Felix. He is an African Spur Thigh Tortoise. He is still small since he will grow to be about 36 inches across and over 200 pounds. Isn't he adorable. Donnie and I have been wanting one for a very long time. He was given to us from my Aunt Rae's friend. Thank you very much for our new family member.

This is Banjo. We got her from the Humane Society too. See the pattern here. She was transfered to the Broward County Humane Society from an Alabama shelter. Her nick name is Bama. When we first got her back in March, she was 10 months old. Now, she's about 16 months. She loves entertaining herself with a ball or her squeeky toy. She also loves to beat up on her older sister, Dingo. She's Daddy little girl and likes to get into trouble (more so than the other ones). She loves to dig up the yard.

Next set is more turtles....on the left is Pugsley (he's a Yellow Bellied Cooter). Then on the right is Mapsey (he's a Map Turtle). These turtles we got from my Mother-In-Law. So now that makes a total of 5 turtles. We have 3 of them in a pond that she also gave us in the yard. Kristen, the smallest is still in her own little tank at the moment. She is getting bigger and soon we'll be adding her to the pond too.
Our Old Faithfuls

Morrigan is a Black/White Medium Hair Domestic. She is 10 1/2 years old. I've had her since she was 8 weeks. Keri, my best friend, calls her Bug Eyes. Gee, I wonder why? Anyways, Morrigan is very timid and shy. In fact, she can be scared of her own shadow. I think she's only ever bit me once. When she wants attention, she'll come up to you and give you a headbutt. It's the cutest thing.

Julian is a mix, with Lynx, Burmese and Siamnese. He's also 10 1/2 years old. I got him 3 days after Morrigan. Julian is the annoying one. He is mixed with Siamese so he loves to talk. (He must take after mommy!) Julian will bite playfully when he wants to be left alone. What's cute about him is sometimes his blue eyes cross. We nick named him Psycho Kitty.

Here is of course the two rascals together. Aren't they adorable. They are from the Humane Society too.

This is Dingo. (The Dingo ate my baby!) Actually that's why I named her Dingo. Although her nick name is Mutley. She's 5 1/2 years old. I also got her from the Humane Society. Dingo is a German Shephard/Akita mix. Donnie wanted to call her cow due to the huge dark spots on her back. She is 100% unique. She actually sits on the couch. It's hard to explain but when I get a picture of it, I'll definately put it on the site. She also loves to drag her blanket around. How many dogs do you know walk around with a security blanket? Well, now you do! And she also tries to steal the covers. One time I caught her in the act, she was pulling the covers off of us using her teeth. For the longest time, I wondered why I would get cold in the night and not have any covers.

These are a few pictures of Dingo cuddling with us. She's our biggest baby. Isn't she so cute!

Here is the Dingo and Banjo together. For the most part they get along really well. They love to beat on each other.

This is Cocoa. She's about 19 years old and a Yellow Headed Nape. She's funny. Everyone can't help but love her. She loves to whistle Dixie and the Theme to the Andy Griffith Show. If you're eating something, don't dare sit down before giving her some or she'll climb down her cage and walk over to mug you for your food. She's a talker. When you're getting ready to go somewhere, she'll ask you where you going? And when you get home, she'll ask how are you? It's really cute to watch her take a bath. I have it on video, maybe one day I'll put it on the site.

These are our the other turtles I was talking about. They are different kinds and have different personalities.
Left one is a Red-Eared Slider. You'll see him floating, on the land or lying down on the bottom trying to bury himself. He's not as successful as the Soft Shell.
Right one is also a Red-Eared Slider. Her name is Kristen, after my neighbor/friend, who almost stepped on her. We decided to adopt her (the turtle).

Saturn is our Black/White California King Snake. She's really sweet, but not to other snakes. We named her Saturn due to the black and white rings around her.
No Longer With Us

(Donated)
Gaia out grew the big pond that we put her in and she kept on getting out and would roam the yard. It was a hard decision we made, but we brought her to the Native Village so she would have plenty of room. You can see how big she had gotten. This was taken right before we dropped her off. She was once again reunited with Monster.

(Donated)
Monster, we recently donated him to the Native Village in Hollywood, Florida. He got to be too big and aggressive. Besides, he'll be happier in a bigger environment and be able to torment other turtles like him.
